January 15, 2024 RE: NOTICE OF FORCE MAJEURE EVENT Dear Customer, Thank you for your business and continued interest in our products. The purpose of this letter is to give you notice of the occurrence of the force majeure event and its effect on our ability to perform our contractual obligations. On January 1, 2024, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. As you know from mass media or Japanese authority, it is reported that more than 3,500 houses have been collapsed/damaged, which brought about 26,000 people remained in about 400 evacuation centers. Some districts are still isolated with roads cut off, and food, water and fuel are still in short supply. Furthermore, local media reported that the warped and/or cracked roads due to the earthquake prevents from prompt recovery process. Some of our factories are also quake-affected. In particular, Anamizu Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (the "Anamizu Factory”) suffers from serious damages. 

The Anamizu Factory is facing some injured employees, damaged buildings and machine, and a utility outage (e.g. power (electricity), water). This results in stoppage or delay of productions in and delivery from the Anamizu Factory. This clearly constitutes a force majeure event which was beyond our reasonable control. We use its commercially reasonable efforts to continue to mitigate the impact on the force majeure event but, as of January 15, 2024, we expect that we will be unable to perform the production recovery at the Anamizu Factory before the middle of May 2024 at the earliest. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you replace our products manufactured at the Anamizu Factory with third-party products listed in the replacement list that we will separately send or have sent to you. We will update the replacement list from time to time. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you, and we will keep you updated on our progress to recovery production and delivery of the Anamizu Factory.
